As per Somvanshi’s Documentation (2006) on Indian History of Veterinary  Medication, Dairy cattle farming was very much evolved during the Rigvedic time frame (1500-1000 BC) Atharvaveda gave an intriguing data  about illnesses of creatures, home grown meds, and fix of infections.  

Shalihotra, the primary known veterinarian of the world, was a specialist in horse farming and medication and made a text Haya Ayurveda. Sage Palakapya was a specialist managing elephants and formed a text Gaja Ayurveda. In Mahabharata period (1000 BC), Nakula and Sahadeva, the two Pandava siblings were specialists of pony and dairy cattle cultivation, individually.
